Fondest memories of your days at
Being a part of Central High School.
Football games at Chamberlain Field, Glee Club trips,
sock hops, Merry Mac slumber parties, standing around
the rotunda talking, walking up those creaky steps. I
really enjoyed my high school years.
My life since graduation:
I married Jimmy Bean from Rossville High in
Dec 1960, and started working as a secretary. Went to
work for TVA in 1962 and took early retirement in 1995
after 32 years. I was in administration as an
editor/writer when I retired. Jim was a corporate pilot
and I went with him a lot of times so I got to see a lot
of places I probably wouldn't have. He died in 1992 and
I have not remarried. We have a son Alan (46) and a
daughter Donna (43) both here in Chattanooga, 3
grandchildren and 5 great-grands. One grandson has been
to Iraq and due to go back in Nov (he has twins 2 yrs
old!) Since retirement, I do a variety of things -
travel a little bit, root for the Vols, spend time with
the grandkids, read, do a little writing, whatever comes
up! Am looking forward to seeing a lot of old buddies
at the reunion.
