Fondest memories of your days at
I proudly graduated from Central High
School in 1960. I went to Central beginning in my
sophomore year, entering from Brainerd Jr High in 1957.
I joined the Nite Owl social club that same year and was
a cheerleader. I absolutely loved every minute of my
high school years at Central. We had such passionate
pep rallies and fabulous football games. All of our
athletic divisions were just great!
The teachers were terrific! My hat's off to anyone that
would try to teach all of us 'little rascals'!!!!!!
They did it and they did it very well.
Central is where I met and married my high school
sweetheart, Donnie Allen, class of '59. We met in my
sophomore year and dated four years then married in 1961
My life since graduation:
"Little Donnie", as some used to call him, is the
love of my life and we treasure our days together. We
call him "Don" now since there is a "Donnie, Jr", and we
call our younger son "Bobby". Our two sons are all
grown up now and we have five grandchildren and one
great-grandchild and two dachshunds.
I worked for Hamilton County Chancery Court for a little
over 23 years and retired in 2002 at the age of 60. I
absolutely love retirement and it allowed me to have
four quality years with my Mother before she died at the
age of 93 in January, 2007. Ten more days and she would
have been 94. My Father had passed away in 1969 at the
early age of 56. I miss them both very much but they
are back together now and that gives me comfort.
I have a wonderful sister, Martha Jean Woods Wardlaw,
Central class of '56. We are very close and love being
together and making memories.
I have a wonderful family and friends. I feel very
blessed each and every day. I thank God for the
wonderful life he has given me.
