My life since graduation:
After graduation I started UTC but never graduated. The Vietnam war was escalating so I felt it was my patriotic duty to volunteer. I joined the Navy in 1962 & sure nuff saw the world. I was stationed aboard the USS Intrepid off the coast in the South China Sea where our assignment was to bomb the enemy & support our troops. You might have seen the movie"National Treasure". Nicolas Cage jumped off my ship. I felt like doing the same thing a few times myself.
While I was in the Navy I married my Sweetheart, Glenda Holland, [from East Ridge] 1964. We are still together. She has been the best wife I could ever hope for. We have a daughter, Traci & a son, Joseph. We only have one grandaughter & she is the best. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. I'm a fortunate son.
After discharge from the Navy in 1966 I still had the ramblin' fever. Glenda & I moved to New Mexico, then to Tulsa, then back to Chattanooga, then to West Palm Beach, then back to Chattanooga. I would like to still be ramblin' but I guess with what's going on in our world, I will have to postpone that itch.
In 1970 I heard a gospel message by Billy Graham & when he gave the altar call I went. [In my den]. Though the road has been rocky & rough in some places, I am still walking with Him & trusting in Him {Jesus] who will bring me to my final destination. "Through many dangers, toils & snares I have already come... His grace will lead me home".
I know from reading some of your biographies you have that same blessed hope. Talk about a reunion !!! I can hardly wait.
I hope it will work out that Glenda & I can come to the reunion of our class in July. It would be my great pleasure to see you again. Remember, it's been 50 years since you've seen me so I don't look like Sean Connery anymore. :}}  More like Tim Conway.
 God bless you all.
