| My life since graduation: Erlanger Nursing School after Central graduation for a year. I enjoyed the classes at UT (Anatomy, Microbiology, etc.) but when it came down to the clinical part, I found that it wasn't for me. I continue to have the greatest respect for nurses. They go through a lot. You really have to love it to continue, and I didn't, so I gave it up and went to Edmondson Business School and began my 35-year stint as a bank employee, beginning with Hamilton National Bank in Chattanooga, then First Tennessee after Hamilton failed in 1976 then on to Rossville Federal, now Wachovia. Most of my banking years were good, but when I wasn't having fun any longer, I "escaped" to the FBI. Went to Cairo, Egypt for 30 days in November after 9-11 on a temporary duty assignment, working at the Embassy. That was quite a trip for someone who had never been out of the USA except for a cruise to Nassau! Another temporary assignment took me to Andrews, NC to assist in the search for Eric Robert Rudolph. (I like working in a tent...right down my alley!) I have been with them for 10 years now and love every minute of it. Presently working back at the Rossville Resident Agency of FBI in Rossville, GA where I started in 1997.. (office moving to Dalton, GA soon...longer drive, but that's OK). Even that longer drive is better than working at the Chattanooga RA as I did for 6 years."Big City" offices are not for me. Married for 44 years to Gary (City High grad..oops!) No kids, one dog, one cat. Enjoy reading, camping, motorcycle riding, crossword puzzles, camping, canoeing, six-wheelin' at Prentice Cooper with the Gator (it's good for yard work, too!). |
