Bio of Vauda Elizabeth Ray-Lower
Married Clyde W. Lower 3 days before I graduated (against all rules) from Central High School…We had already bought a nice house about 3 miles from the airport, only lived in it two weeks when Clyde got called to a wonderful job at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock, Arkansas…Clyde became the supervisor of the Camp Robinson Air-Strip and was the youngest supervisor ever hired…He was blessed with so many God given talents…We had a successful Swimming Pool company for a few years and had several rental houses.
We have one wonderful son, Keith, that is (like his Dad) head of all of the helicopters at Camp Robinson and did his tour in Iraq…I have one grand-daughter and two g-grand-daughters…My daughter-in-law is a big wig for Verzion Company.
I also worked for a big doctor in Little Rock for seventeen years, I designed eyeglass lens and put in very small microscopes for legally blind people…I also did TV advertising for Vision World…
I am a product inventor with 13 inventions…I can do the patent search and all of the patents but I don’t know how to carry them to market...So if anyone wants to partner, please call me…I started painting in 1979 and became an accomplished artist…I have taught art and had many showing at the Little Rock State Capital…I have sold many paintings…I paint in oils and watercolors…
I retired from Vision World on November 22, 1995 and on January 22, 1996, my husband, Clyde was killed in an auto accident on the way to work…I came upon the accident about 7 minutes after it happened…I almost lost my life with the shock…It has been very hard (without Clyde) the last sixteen years but with my faith in God I have made it and have had a wonderful walk with the Lord…
In November of 1999 a truck totaled my car right at my drive-way and broke my back, I had surgery and have two 11 inch rod and six screws in my back…Today I have some pain but am able to function all of my daily duties, and then some, in a very normal way…But the day after my operation I was medically OD-ed by a nurse in the hospital…my Mom was sitting by my bed when it happened…I was back in recovery 8 hours, but thank God they were able to bring me back.
Then in February 2001 I was taken to the hospital with a very high fever, did not know when I left the house or when I got to the hospital…I woke up a few days later and I was on complete life support…I had double Pneumonia, ARDs of the lungs (lung become very hard, not reversible) and had MRSA staff infection of the blood (not curable)…I was on complete life support for 16 days and in ICU for 31 days…My doctor, that had been my doctor since I was 27, said I was not going to live…All my family came in from everywhere…I lost almost all of my hair and I had to learn to walk again, but God healed me, I had to walk the healing out but I was healed…
Today I am a speaker, singer and song writer…I go to churches, speaking, giving my testimony, singing and telling others how real God is…I wrote my first song in 2010 and was asked to send it to Nashville…It was sent to Dave Smith, who is Lee Greenwood’s lead guitarist and recorded…Dave did a beautiful job and it is on You Tube now…(just type in my name and enjoy), (TELL ME MORE ABOUT JESUS)…I now have four more beautiful songs written and looking forward to Dave recording them…God has blessed me with so many talents and if others would just give their heart to him their life would be filled with an abundance of blessings…I also am on the board of directors of the Carroll Robinson Ministries that is on National TV today…Carroll and Donna are my personal friends and have been to my home many times and me to theirs.
In 2002 I bought my lot, drew up my big house plans, contracted and built my home…I live in a gated area with bank presidents (next door), doctors and lawyers…So see you can accomplish what ever you want, with the help of GOD…I think life is choices and I choose to be successful, I choose to be the best I can…I was shy as a young girl in high and probably am not known by many of the other students…I believe we can’t determine what happens to us, but we can determine what we DO with what happens to us…
Blessings to all of the other students and it was a pleasure going to school with the class that I was in…It was a pleasure to live in the time when one beer was bad and if you got caught with a cigarettes you were in trouble…The kids of today have a really tuff time with the world being so involved in our schools…I am saddened that the home life is not what it used to be and I believe that home-made chicken and dressing will be a thing of the pass…I am a very good cook and have been asked many times if I was Paula Deen, even though my hair is not as white as hers…
God Bless You All… and … May all of you learn the true story of our…Eternal Salvation…From the Class of 1962…I am, Vauda Elizabeth Ray-Lower3120 Overbrook Circle North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116 501 749-9270
