Fondest memories of your days at Central: |
| My life since graduation: After graduation, I entered the University of Tennessee as a coop student in Mechanical Engineering. I earned my BS degree and went to work for Combustion Engineering here in Chattanooga. I attended UT night school and earned a MS degree. I have worked 34 years as an engineer and Project Manager for Combustion here in Chattanooga. Combustion has changed owners now twice, first bought by Asea Brown Boveria (ABB) and more recently by British Nuclear Fuels Limited (BNFL) who had also six months earlier bought the nuclear part of Westinghouse. Therefore, the company is now Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC. I have a son, Brian, from my first marriage. He is 22 years old, a junior attending UTC working for a business degree. Doris and I were married June 1999, after a long courtship, and we have her daughter at home Sarah who is 19 years old and attending Chattanooga State University (too early to guess major). I look forward to getting our two children out of college, on their own, married, and then the grand angels, hopefully, in that order. This has been a busy year in that I have made five international business trips (four to Milan, Italy, and one to Changwon, Korea). Doris met me for a week in Hawaii on the return from Korea. I have not had to fly since the catastrophe of September 11th. |
