My
Life Since Graduation After Central High I
went to McKenzie College for two years, then I went into the U.S.
Navy for four years . Served on the USS Furse a Destroyer. While in
the Navy, I went around the world, by sea. I think any of you that
have traveled around the world would agree that we in the USA have a
good life (with all our faults) ..Over the years I have gone back to
a couple of countries I liked best, Sweden, Germany, Italy.
I have a son 38 years old, a Wake Forrest, M.B.A., living in
Charlotte N.C.
I will leave out the marriages. I have a few of those also.
After the Navy I took a job in financial services in 1972. I stayed
in that line of work for 34 years. I worked with many large
corporations, most recently as Sr. V.P. at Bombardier out of
Montreal Canada.
I have lived in many places. Florida (Jacksonville, Coral Gables,
Orlando, Key West.) California (Newport Beach, San Jose, Rancho
Cucamonga) Minnesota (Minneapolis) North Carolina (Charlotte) Texas
(Dallas, Houston). My work required a lot of travel, so if you
thought you saw me somewhere, you just may have. I racked up 4
million miles on just Delta Airlines.
I left the corporate life last year and started my own business...I
am NOT moving anymore, and the last thing I care to do is get on
another airplane......
I now work a little and boat a lot on the Saint Johns River here in
Jacksonville, Florida.
A parting quote...(don't know who said it first) If I had known I
was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself
! !
