Connie Morgan Hay, 94, of Harrison, TN passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. He was known as Coach, Mr. Central and Alfalfa. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. Connie was a graduate of Mississippi State University retired from Boy Scouts of America after 36 years. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Lorena Hay; sister, Lucille Anderson and brothers, Paul, Wallace, Mel, Mack and Bruce. Survivors include his wife, Naomi Perkins Hay; son, Tracey (Jane) Hay of Lebanon, TN; daughter, Janet (Don) Turner of Bowling Green, KY; granddaughters, Lauren (Chris) Wooden of Old Hickory, TN, Sara (Reston) Hartsell of Columbia, SC; grandsons, Logan (Marion) Turner of Nashville, TN, Landon Turner and Mills Turner, both of Bowling Green, KY. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clair Sauer officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN and from 10 11 AM Friday at the Church.
